Sheep, etc.

Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival

The sheep, goats, llamas, and alpaca were the main event for me...it was so sweet to pet and feed this amazing creatures with such distinct personalities. Here are some drawings I made after the festival...

Sheeps

Male goats with exceptional physiology

Bella, a very sweet sheep

Boy pulling a reluctant sheep back to its pen with a cord around its muzzle

Goats in their pen

Princess, the llama diva

Cashmere goats
They have a strip of black hair that runs down the middle of their spine,
separating the two sides of wool. The wool is combed, not sheared.
This black "mohawk", as it's called, allows for easier separation of the wool,
the keeper was telling us.
